The Music
I've played the piano since
the age of six and love singing and playing out more than almost
anything. I have my first grade teacher, Mrs. Cross, to thank
for that.
To date, I have not had
a lot of free time to get to the studio to record many of the
50+ songs I've written let alone the classical pieces I've written
for solo piano.
Small bits of them get out in
the films I make though. An excerpt from a classical piece
I've written entitled "The Revelation" appears in "Summer
of Tomorrows" and a song I co-wrote entitled "Shadow in
the Fog" is on the "Shades of Darkness" soundtrack.
I have compiled a collection
of demo recordings that make up my first CD Album entitled
"Who Knows." I wrote it under the pseudonym "David Kriss"
and if you ask why I did that, the answer is also "who
knows."

After 9/11, I wrote some
more original material and co-produced an album with a number
of other talented bands and artists including Robert Melnyk
who writes the original scores for my movies.
The double CD Album was
entitled "Rock for America" and all the proceeds from both the
CD and the live concert went to victims of the tragedy.
So for now, I'll keep
on writing and performing… in clubs, bars, cruise ships… wherever
a piano adorns a dark room.
If I'm lucky and time permits,
maybe I'll get back into the studio. If I'm really lucky maybe
I'll get to see some old friends while I'm performing out and
about.
