FOOD POISONING OR WHAT? Huh… this past week has been quite a roller coaster. A week ago today I either: Got the most severe food poisoning I’ve ever had, OR, a massive dose of the stomach flu that knocked me out until Sunday evening. I was back on my feet again Monday, but just barely. Just in time to visit the dentist to hopefully repair a dental bridge that feel out on the same ill fated Thursday. More good news… He told me I needed $2,500 in work to replace the broken bridge, get a root canal on the front tooth and so on… I asked him to glue the old one back in and that only cost $75… so I guess I’m on borrowed time with that. I kind of get the feeling that I’m on borrowed time in general, which is moderately unpleasant. Do the rest of you out there feel like the other shoe is just waiting to drop? Is that how the expression goes? I take exceedingly good care of my teeth… so to have that dropped in my lap really bothers me. But, ultimately, what can you do? It is what it is, is it not? Hard for me to be sharp this week… I’ve been eating as little as possible. I’ve never been a HUGE fan of eating… but last week’s little adventure, the details of which I will spare you, has really put me off to it. And with the precarious dental situation… it’s made eating very interesting. So… there’s my little gripe for the week. 9/11 was a day of remembrance, of course, but other than that… this week has been a low key, very low energy recuperative time. Work has been ongoing, which has been difficult because my strength is just not there for me this week. Frankly, I’m tired when I’m sitting down. We may be starting another picture next week for Universal… we’ll find out soon enough. There have been so many ups and downs with my film this year that I’ll just have to catch you all up in one long entry when it seems appropriate to do so. What a wickedly interesting year this has been. I say wickedly because I have seen and met so many interesting people on a positive note, and so many posers and time wasters that constitute the wicked unpleasant part of the equation. I suppose that’s the nature of this beast. In any event, I’ll spill about that stuff later when something of substance is secured. So that’s it for now… be well and be healthy.
