OPRAH WINFREY I’ve been up since yesterday morning. That has happened a couple of times on this Public Interest job I’ve been working on… the one to improve education in America. It’s the one the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation is spearheading. Well last night I got on a plane and flew to Chicago to bring some stuff for the Oprah Winfrey show which tapped this morning. I hung out, watched the show… had a great time and then hopped on a plane back to LA. Needless to say I’m beat. And Oprah is soooo small. Shorter than I even expected… but I guess that makes sense since Tom Cruise looks tall next to her and he’s really short as well. It’s been a fun whirlwind of a couple of days… my phone died at some point during the day today while I was in transit… but not before finding out that I have a pitch meeting on Monday for some potential financers and that Fabio is interested in my script for “Blood Red Poison” which is about the last thing I expected to hear today. It’s a strange world out here… but alas it IS what I asked for. Oh… I guess there’s a dinner party tomorrow night and another Beverly Hills party this weekend… I have to say: This is INDEED a good time. The only thing that is a little disappointing is that I missed Billy Joel performing at the Staples Center tonight… only 10 minutes from my apartment… but what the hell. Can’t have everything I guess. Actually, I tend to believe that you can, but apparently today is not the day. I’m going to sleep now… it’s long overdue.
